DONATIONS Did you ever wish you could make your money multiply? You can with your donation to St. Vincent de Paul. Last year with cash donations of $232,092 from our benefactors, we were able to provide over $1.82 million in assistance to our friends in need of help. No, we don't print money in the back room, but we are able to purchase food and other items at greatly reduced prices. We receive thousands of dollars in in-kind donations of food, clothing and household items. We even receive federal funds for rent and mortgage assistance to aid families in housing emergencies. Finally, we hold our expenses to a minimum thanks to the dozens of volunteers who pickup, sort, and distribute the food and clothing; man the telephones and interview clients as they come through our doors; and visit those who seek rent and utility assistance. The Vancouver Conference of SVDP does not operate a thrift store, own a vehicle, or have the ability to pick-up donations from individual donors. All donations are distributed to the needy at no charge. Due to space limitations, we can only accept FOOD, CLOTHING, AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, HYGIENE SUPPLIES (that is, non-food grocery items such as laundry detergent, paper products, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)... and, of course, CASH. ITEMS WE CANNOT ACCEPT APPLIANCES
- Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Refrigerators, Freezers Should you have any questions concerning donations, please call the SVdP Office at 694-5388. Thank You for your generous support to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
